To achieve FAIR and FACT, providers of data-driven services must comply with the rules on data protection, and in particular with concrete requirements of transparency of algorithmic decision-making in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data driven service innovation: compliancy and transparency 'by design
This project follows the value-sensitive design approach as a development method for data-driven service innovation. Compared to the other - more scientific - projects in VWData, this project focuses on the concrete operationalization of the legal requirements in one or more concrete data-driven services that can serve as use cases in the other projects.
In this way, researchers from the HBOs Fontys, Utrecht and Zuyd and the Open University contribute to making research results concrete and this results in new connections with universities and other knowledge institutions.
