Logistics

Like many other sectors, the sector is undergoing radical change as a result of digitalisation. More and more processes can be monitored in real time and smart algorithms make it possible to coordinate processes down to the smallest detail. All this collected data requires research into the possible applications and into the best algorithms.

Under the Commit2Data programme, a research call has now been issued specifically for the top sector logistics. Big data: real-time ict for logistics focused on researching challenges around Internet of Things in logistics, Data fusion across infrastructure, vehicles and cargo and Data security in logistics. The projects awarded from this call started in the first half of 2018.
